Cairns Iron Man Sunday, 16 June 2024
Set in one of the world's most iconic tropical locations, Ironman Cairns (check for details and major road closures) will take place again on Sunday, 18-June 2023.
It will feature a course memorable for the 3.8km swim in the warm crystal clear waters off Palm Cove, the 180km bike leg that travels up arguably the most scenic coastal roads in Australia towards Port Douglas and a 42.2km run that includes the Cairns boardwalk before finishing in the heart of the city of Cairns.
There will be a change of traffic conditions with significant delays on Sunday 18-June 2023.
Port Douglas Gran Fondo, 6 - 8 September 2024
Grand Fondo is an Italian term for 'great ride'. It is a long distance cycling event for cyclists ranging from professional to beginner.
The Port Douglas Gran Fondo courses will take you along Great Barrier Reef Drive between Port Douglas and Palm Cove, while taking in breathtaking views through the palm trees alongside the Coral Sea. This road will be fully closed to traffic to allow you to really enjoy the ride and scenic course.
